When you buy almonds directly from farms, you’re skipping all the extra steps that usually add cost and reduce quality. Think about it - almonds sitting on supermarket shelves have often traveled hundreds of miles, been stored for who knows how long under ambient conditions and have been pasteurized with heat or fumigation.
