• May as well have the best! I have been a customer of Capay Hills Orchard for more than 6 years, and tried all almond products except the half shells. My favorites are the smoked, but all the almond varieties are without peer. Ordering is easy, shipping is always fast and everything's extremely well packaged. Eating these almonds is a revelation! • Capay Hills produces excellent products. I add their almond butter and some golden raisins to my hot cereal in the morning - it's yummy and keeps me going until noon and beyond. My daughter is big on health stuff and she gave a thumbs-up for the glass jars that the almond butter is packaged in. I recently tried some of the Paddock family's smoked almonds - after snacking on them for a few days I ordered another 8 lbs - they are delicious.

• As you probably know, we've been buying bulk almonds from you for a number of years now, with no regrets.
When my coop offered "truly raw" almonds imported from Spain in a 5lb bag at around the same price as 30lbs from you, I thought we'd try them, as $300 is a lot of money at once!
The almost were NOTHING like yours! NOTHING!! I can't emphasis enough how much better your almonds are. Theirs had bits of hull (I've never seen hull in yours), dried up withered bad tasting almonds (extremely rare in yours), and the good ones just didn't taste anywhere near as good as yours. So I just placed another order for 30lbs from you for the best almonds I've ever eaten. I soak them and add them to my spirulina smoothies. I have been without almonds because I won’t buy pasteurized. • I’ve been meaning to write you for a while now and I just wanted to say thanks for such a wonderful product, specifically your almonds. Several years ago I started a search for raw, organic, unpasteurized almonds. At that time I discovered some pretty unsavory ones, the quality of which were nothing compared to yours. I tried almonds from Spain and found low flavor and even quite a few that were rotten. I have to say, though, that you do have some pretty decent competition in your neck of the woods, but overall, I think you all have the best! I really appreciate how good you are at communicating to make sure I get the best value and that I’m satisfied. And I love the newsletter and the family ethic incorporated into your business. A while back I began eating organic raw almonds first thing in the morning as a dietary regiment and still do to this day (a way to set my stomach ph to neutral for the day and because I just love almost sprouted almonds). The process I employ is I take a number of almonds from the freezer, where we keep them, soak them over night in water with a pinch of sea salt, drain them and store 'em in the frig. Then each morning I eat approximately one for every 10 pounds that I weigh. Additionally, I make almond butter from the same process of soaking them first. Then I air dry them and grind them in a food processor. Flourless almond butter cookies are another favorite. These things I have been doing for years and I’m able to because of your farm! • My search is over for a good almond supplier; and I've tried several. Capay Hills almonds are so crispy, I actually thought they might have been roasted; but they are not. And I love the fact that they are truly unpasteurized. Other vendors try to confuse the consumer with words such as "raw". Finally, and intending no disrespect to Nuts.com, I like the fact that I am buying directly from the grower. I know the almond variety. I know when it was harvested. And I know how it was harvested. I have eaten organic almonds for over 30 years and did not know what I was missing. This is the first time I have ordered directly from an orchard and was truly amazed at the difference.
